I feel that waiting 300 seconds to report posts is abit too long.

I have read MegaMatt's reply to Dustein's idea about lowering the Search time, but I feel that it could be lowered a little.

Agreed, you got my support on this one ;)

I've been caught out a few times and had to wait a good few minutes, and in that time Sythe sometimes goes down and I can't do anything then.

If you have a big list of posts that need to be reported, PM them all to a moderator online or go back to them later. If the time lowered, people(especially some wannabe mods, I won't name names) will be flooding the RaSp section giving moderators more work than they already have.

This is true, but surely it is better to get them reported. Some moderators appear offline, therefor we don't always see them online.

Yes, but there's still some that work in the RaSp that appear online(Badger, Dalpra) and you could easily PM them or, as said earlier, go back and report it when you can. Besides, if it's truly spam, flaming or whatever other reason, somebody else will report it if you can't.

You can just manually create a new thread and post them in there, that's what I've done if people act like total idiots multiple times.

    No, its not. >_<.

This has been suggested many times... I'm neutral on the subject... Less time = more reports... And you can always just paste a few posts into the reason if you want...

    Decrease the reporting time.

They wouldn't have more work by reporting more posts or PMing them really, a post is bound to get reported by you or somebody else, wether its now, 10 mins time, the following day ect..

And just pming them a lot of links is the same as just posting them or reporting them but in a different format, so in effect they still get the same amount of work, maybe just delayed a little.

People can report as much as they want, doesn't mean they'lle get Mod, bieng a Mod isn't just about reporting people.

As for the reducing reporting time, yes I agree, not too much though.

    I'm gonna support.

I had a situation where someone posted the some thread (Auth Code Trading) all throughout the forums.

    I couldn't report them all.

In that situation, I'd just paste the threads into one report.

I think 300 seconds is long enough.

Or as stated before, get the post id and put them all into a thread.
