    Hi guys

I have around 95 BTC, with the sudden collapse in prices I'm unsure whether or not to keep them on the off chance that it will rise again or whether to sell them all.

Is there a chance of it rising? How long would you guess until it does?

    Thanks!

You might as well sell it because the prices are dropping down not a little but a lot. There's a small chance it will raise again after what happened. Just sell them all.

Don't sell them. After every drop there'll be a rise. Looking at what it's worth now: 220 - 230 I don't think it's possible for them to drop even more.

I'd definitely sell. I'm an investor myself and I can tell you, particularly with the Bitcoin, that there is no chance that it will go back up. There are too many flaws in conjunction with the fact that it's price history indicates that it is no longer a volatile currency, it is only one that will continue to decline indefinitely. If you're unsure, i'd sell half of your Bitcoins.
I can put you in contact with a reliable BTC purchaser if you need.

I'm still unsure, lost quite a bit already from the amount it's went down in 24h, I thought it must spring back up surely it's a tough one lol. As people are panic buying atm I was thinking that must be a clear indication of the chance of rising..

    Thanks guys!

I personally wouldn't panic sell or dump them right now. You're going to see them drop another $40 or so I think, and then I expect them to rise again after investors jump back on for profit after BTC bottoms out.

Dump some of them. I honestly can't see prices going up anymore, so I did anyway and made a nice profit none the less.

BTC is tanking like a rock, I was a BTC investor(lightcoin aswell)

I bailed out @320 and am so happy I did.

Im going to guess BTC will drop down to the ~$135-$150 mark per coin before it finally starts stabilizing.

I do not ever see btc getting back to what it once was though.

You're going to get a lot of poor investment advice here, so take it with a grain of salt. Ultimately, the choice is yours. My advice is to not watch daily fluctuations while making your decision.

Personally, I think bitcoin is a cool idea, but its "cool factor," and a lot of the price spike associated with that, is wearing off. There have been recent troubles with some of the exchanges and theft of coins, and much of the market has moved to China. Volatility, though lower than it's been in the past, is still quite high, way higher than that of many more traditional investments. And, of course, there's always the underlying factor that bitcoin isn't really tied to anything; it has no intrinsic value, and there aren't widespread political or economic repercussions if it trades for pennies tomorrow. Are there firm reasons it could fall to being worthless? Yes, I think so. Are there firm reasons that it should be worth $500 again? I think that's harder to argue. That, at least, is like tl;dr of why I've stayed away from it; right now, in my eyes, it's a bad gamble. I would personally cut my losses and move on.

I think most of the larger cryptos are dropping, didn't LTC drop like a rock as well?

It's probably safer to stay away from cryptos for the time being, unless if you want to run the risk of finding the bottom and then try to ride the bounce back if you're lucky.

If you wait too long you might as well just keep them because it's probably not going to drop much more.

Never sell your BTC just presuming it dropped by $50-100~ because ultimately, BTC will keep rising in the years to come and no other crypto can even compete with it.

I disagree with this i feel it will keep going down in the years to come maybe it will settle at a fixed price. I'd say around $150.

I'll put this into a perspective of financial advice for you. I am a registered financial advisor and I'll put this into a scenario. Say you have a 401(k) with about $1 million invested into it. That amount got it's value and will fluctuate depending on the stock market swings but it's still a solid investment. If one year you see the stock market swing down -10%, you wouldn't go and liquidate your entire savings here just because of one year. Same thing goes for bitcoin. It's going to see it's rise and falls but since it's a commodity that is in emerging stages and since there is only a limited quantity of it, there should be no reason to panic. I expect it go balance or even go up in the near future.

EDIT: just an FYI. People have doubted investing into the stock market for as long as it's been around. over the last 200 years, you'll see an overall average increase by approx 7% annually from the past 200 years.

I would keep them for the long term investment with the amount you have. Unless you really need cash. i'm not sure of you're entire situation but choose wisely.
