My apoIogies for my English. I'm not grate at English. I been watching this forums for about a week. I love reading the something for all forums I mysef i love philosophical thinking, philosophy and physics theoretical this matters? Whatever you take from it.

Anyway I was browsing the forums I came across multiple threads where it was members vs. staff. Softly said the staff lost horribly. One thread i was reading a staff memeber punished a user for saying he was pathetic over a PM service? Wow.

There are many threads which a user had superb intelligence over the staff member and in turn the member hid the post or banned or fracted user. wow.

I'm afraid to post on this site because if I get into an intellectual debate in the forums I could be banned. Like 1 + 1 = x not 2. I can show 6 different answers besides 2. Yet a staff can say I'm trolling.

Also I had to post in dispute a bans forum to make an account but I signed up the normal way. That's like psychological warfare saying you're guilty of something before you even sign up to this site.

I would post more in detail but I'm tired as its my bed time.

Haha, this thread. I've been in numerous ideological, philosophical, and all around intellectual debates on here. Just don't call Richard an elitist and you won't get banned, because I've been banned for that before. There are some dramas that go deep into this site and you've had to have been here for a while to understand. A lot of hurt feelings and a lot of contempt because of poor staff decisions, but overall the site runs well and the staff aren't bad guys (all of the time). Also, why make an account to claim you didn't want to make an account? That makes no sense what-so-ever which really leads to the belief that you're probably a ban evader.

I won't give you the luxury and comment on the last part because it doesn't make since. anyways the something for all forums is pretty amazing. I'm more of an observer, I learn from observation. I been on these forums for over a week before I joined in. plus 're read the title. I never said I wasn't going to created an account and.joining the off topic. however I was talking about the scary nature of the staff here and why it deferred me from joining. but whatever :)

as I said in OP take this thread as you wish, just don't be judgmental, it leads to colossal downfalls. haha. :)

Was legitimately infracted for calling a mod "pathetic" and "don't get your panties in a twist" over PM when he made a mistake he refused to fix. Can't believe its still allowed to stand tbh.

    Also lol, nothing will change.

The thread title, in exactitude, is "Why I didnt want to join". The explicitness of the statement is resounding. Why would you join if you didn't want to join? If you fear the staff why waste the time?

It used to be a lot more entertaining. All of the interesting debates have been debated numerous times and most of the interesting debaters have flown.

See my first statement. Why join if you're afraid? It makes no sense.

It is human nature to judge. I've been one of the most critical people amongst the community towards the staff, but your critique lack a certain brevity and evidence that do not help to better the site. Again, a few of your points make little to no sense.

    Edit:
    DD you're a faggot. <3

We don't bite. I'd like to think most of us can have an intellectual debate without becoming emotionally involved and leading to hurt feelings and what not. As a general rule I think we try and be unbiased and I can't speak for everyone but I personally try and admit when I'm at fault.

Uh.. The exaggeration is real. These disputes are usually about the clashing of different interpretations that turn into unnecessary flame wars. These threads usually last for a long time (page wise). Even when specific staff members are targeted, they will allow the thread to live on until it goes too far (which usually happens all the time). Staff's perception of all conflicts are not unerring, but appropriately adequate.

I haven't experienced any of this thus far, but then again I haven't been here as long as some of you.

In my experience, as long as you're nice to staff, they're nice to you. :)

You're not the only one who feels that way, many people do. I don't know how many people are going to have to say something in order for the point to be gotten. I find it sad that there's always some sort of excuse for everything that's wrong, making it impossible to change anything. I've seen the same answers posted over and over again to threads like this. The most irritating one to me is where a staff member comes in and speaks for the entire staff. When I joined I had to get used to the huge double standards that go on, the unprofessional responses and decisions, and the lack of free speech. Just an example of what creates this, the staff members are almost encouraged to not post their reasoning behind decisions, where regular members are drilled for proof of every statement they make. From all the complaints that have been made about poor moderation, poor decisions, and overall negativity towards the site I think the staff should be having to prove their decisions a lot more than regular members instead of just punishing someone and not ever giving a full reason of why they decided to do it.

When you get and feel the power, it's normal for humans to feel better/above than the users without it. I've seen quite a few people change when they're promoted, they let the mod ranks get to their head.

There are a very few who doesn't really let it get to their head. Sometimes they can take things a step too far because they're pretty much allowed to. Rarely are there repercussions because it's become a thing when you are promoted, you don't go against other staff. It's the same in the real world with the police, they look out for each other.

I think the problem stems from staff voting. The reason the newer staff members became a staff were because majority of the staff (or just USL?) have voted for them. In return the new staff members are more inclined not to go against other staff members.

It's not really a big deal. If they go too far there will be threads about them. It will be known. Attention normally means repercussions can be taken, the same with media and the police in the real world. In the end they're normal people with more power than other users on Sythe, you don't have to kiss up to them, just don't intentionally try to upset them and you'll be fine.

Copy + Pasted response from another thread:

    http://www.sythe.org/dispute-ban-twc/1773842-xkronic-banned-dispute.html

    http://www.sythe.org/dispute-forum-...ernally-requesting-major-pardon-scamming.html

Just another example of staff not following the rules and doing what they want. Whichever one is true, allowing a person to pardon if they show attempts of contacting the victim, or not allowing them to pardon if they haven't repaid, it needs to be followed. Whichever one it is, it will either get complaints and be changed (In most places at least), or it won't and it will stay. In my opinion it's just another indicator that rules aren't really followed and staff just do what they want (Even though in this case I agree with Dave if he's wrong), which is why there's so many ridiculous bans, community members leaving, unnecessary infractions, and unprofessional/poor decisions that damage the forums amount of activity.
