How to play:

• Select play with a friend: shown here
• Copy and paste link to your opponent found: shown here
• Place your battleships and then hit ready!

Rules:

• All games will be played to best of 3 unless unless you and your partner agree otherwise before the game starts
• All games will be played within 3 days of being matched with someone
• If you contact your partner repeatedly and they fail to respond, you will be advanced if you post evidence before the round expires.
  If you're playing PM tag back and forth, a dice will be rolled to see who advances.
  If no one contacts me with results or proof of contact, a dice will be rolled to see who advances.
• Record all games in case of mishaps
• If one user experiences a disconnect, crash, or any other technical difficulty a re-match won't be granted (since we can't verify these claims)
• Both parties must post results here and the bracket will be updated.

Sign me up, also out of curiosity will some of the problems from the Haxball tournament have solutions this time around? Such as:

Users living a decent amount away from each other ending up having to host the game from one of the two of them and the other one having 10k ping
Users who message their non-responsive opponent and receive no reply ending up being the one eliminated lol

We're going to make sure that doesn't happen again. This is server hosted and not P2P, also the nature of the game allows you to play even with awful ping.

If you message your opponent a few times and they flat out don't respond you'll be advanced. If you're playing PM tag the only fair way to do it is a dice roll. However, if we have some reason to believe someone is abusing this to dodge tough opponents we will handle it best we can.
