Hey all!

The Community Development team is now currently accepting applications for a position on our team!
We are looking for users who are creative, experimental, reliable and willing to put time and effort in to our future endeavors!

So, who are we?

Sythe.org's Community Development team strives to strengthen the community of Sythe.org. We hope to better and aid the site, in terms of activity, community orientated events, and overall increased participation by all our present and future members.

What skills are we looking for?

Spoiler: Creativity and imagination

Being on the CDT requires thinking outside the box to come up with unique, and possibly quite crazy, ideas for anything from community events and competitions to social media and advertising. From here we run with your ideas, adapt where necessary and try to put your plan in action as a team.

Spoiler: Willingness to assist and participate

When someone comes up with an idea it's essential that each member of the team should try to provide alternatives or constructive criticism to help aid the idea. You must be willing to do your fair share.

Spoiler: Ability to assess and take risks

Part of the CDT's mission is to try new and interesting things to liven up the community. If there's a chance your event may go horribly wrong, you must be confident enough to assess this and do your best to make it work. You can't be afraid of failure, we learn from our mistakes!

Spoiler: Team spiritied and dedicated

Possibly the most crucial skill to have. You must be able to communicate well with other users, differences aside, to be able to make our events work. Slacking and doing the minimum amount within the section and it's events will not help anyone. We need members who are keen to do their bit and work hard to advance the team. It is your duty to participate in every event you can to do this.

How do I apply?
If you would like to join us in our mission, please fill out the following application form and post it on this thread. Please provide developed answers for each question, we will only select the best. Remember, your qualities shown around the forum will also be looked at and taken in to account.

Applications will be accepted for 1-2 weeks (at our discretion).
There is no set number of applications we will accept.

Why do you want to join the team?

I feel like I could bring alot to the CDT. It's something I've been interested in joining for awhile (3 Applications already submitted), And I could help the sythe community become a positive, fun place.

What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?

In my experiences running a restaurant, I am very versed in teamwork and leadership. I am a very innovative thinker, Having run events on sythe myself. I'm very active and known around the sythe community. Also as a bond holder I have the ability to convert possible prize winnings for the community into sythe donations if they so choose. (further helping out Sythe as a whole)

How often are you on Sythe each week?

I would say I'm easily in the top 5 most active people on sythe, I came in second for sythe's awards for biggest post whore, and always partake in community discussions

Wanting to become community involved has always been important to me on Sythe, My dedication to become a part of the CDT is large and I am more than willing to put the time and effort in. I even created the Community Development Team - Members & Hall of Fame sticky, And helped staff with selecting new icons

Why do you want to join the team?
The better question is, why do other people not want to join the team.
I am a loving member of Sythe, and enjoy helping others.

What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
I have some pretty good lure methods, at least I like to consider myself good. Thus, I feel as though I could help the members of Sythe make a hefty sum of money, without scamming of course, that's a bannable offence.

How often are you on Sythe each week? 24/7, I refresh the page constantly to check out the new posts.

Do you have anything to add?
I would like to thank the staff for this chance to apply to make a difference in the community.

- I feel like I could personally put a positive impact on the Sythe community by the events that I, or the development team could provide.

- I'm quite creative and helpful when it comes to certain things, also quite generous when the events will come around.

- I always have my Sythe tab open, whether I'm active, bumping threads, posting in sub-sections, or trading.

Meh, varies. Between 10-20 hours atm.

remember how many sythemonthly's I helped organise and run -.-

 

I think it would be fun to join CDT and help come up with/plan events. I'd like to give back to the community a bit.

I'm always willing to offer constructive criticism, and help other members of CDT with their events and ideas. I'd also consider myself fairly creative in terms of planning activities and events.

I'm on Sythe every day, usually for a minimum of 6 hours/day.

Look at the various UE application schemes and the discussions about them. Some are in the archive but some might be in a deleted thread where private UE stuff was archived. This is just a popularity contest.

 

Why do you want to join the team?

I want to be an integral part of the community team, and engage myself in making and administering community events that Sythe members can enjoy.

What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?

I have good people person skills: I work in customer service irl. I'm proficient in both writing and coordinating projects. I'm simply the most perfect fit, plus I'm pretty humble, which helps.

How often are you on Sythe each week?

I'll actually provide a realistic answer- I check Sythe everyday, for an hour or two onsite. I'm very active and post a lot daily.

Do you have anything to add?

Yes I realize I don't have donator status or fancy UIs or username/sigs graphics. That doesn't mean however I won't excel in the CDT. What I do have is some experience.

I've made suggestions, been involved and asked about all the community events I could partake in. I can both make and administer events, pretty confident in that. Of course, having a team to work with, makes this process easier and more rewarding.

So every member should organise and put on 5 events each before we accept them or something? UE died for a reason, CDT is still very much alive and has great members who all applied this way.

 

The UE died because the administration killed it. It was far better than this group and did much more. You also obviously don't know what the applications actually were. Please educate yourself.

 

I wholeheartedly agree with this, posting public applications is unprofessional and gimmicky. Could I just PM mine in?
