Sythe Chat updates

As you may or may not know, Sythe has it's own instant messenger system called SytheChat. You can access it here or by clicking the SytheChat icon at the top right of the homepage.

The SytheChat has been tweaked a bit to make it better to use. Additionally; chat logs now remain logged on the AdminCP so these can be used in evidence to aid with scam reports, disputes or whatever just like Skype and so on. It's very recommended you make use of this feature to make sure you're not trading any impostors. ​

Referrals now viewable

You can now see who you've referred to Sythe by clicking the number of referrals on your userbar like so:



Simply click the number and you'll be taken to a page where you can see and access the profiles of those you've referred.​

Community Development Team - New members & a thank-you

We were pleased to welcome blade bro4 and Shin to the CDT!

The Community Development Team aims to better the community side of Sythe. We hold events - seasonal extravaganza's as well as SytheAwards, Member of the Month, SytheMonthly and of course spontaneous events for the sake of it! - but none of that would be possible without the people and businesses on Sythe donating prize pots and participating in events.

So on the behalf of the team, I'd like to thank everyone who's both helped us out or supported us this year. It's a lot of work and stress to make these things happen sometimes, so the encouragement and participation is very much appreciated and makes it all worth it.

2014 was a big year for safety on Sythe. Both trading and account wise.

The start of 2014 saw the release of SytheChat - Sythe's very own instant messaging system - now with chat logging - that can be used for trading securely. This affirms that you're speaking with the correct user and not an impostor on Skype. Shortly after, we unfortunately became witness to a number of Skype hackings, further reassuring the need for something like the SytheChat with Skype being so vulnerable for trading.

We added a RuneScape Gold Swapping section, which has proven to be a massive success and lucrative business for a lot of members - cheers to those who suggested it and got behind it. Around this time we also disallowed unbanning services for game accounts due to the unpredictable nature of the methods, to protect buyers from being ripped off.

Avatar sizes for donors were increased to a 150x150 size since most people now have larger monitors and can handle the increase. The new UserCenter was released by Matthew; looking all snazzy and being far easier to use - you can manage all your ranks, miniranks and donor benefits here. Matthew also released Sythe Prizeboxes for past and future donors. After you've donated 100$, every additional 50$ donation will account for a prizebox - offering the chance at a random minirank!

There are more additions and changes around the corner for 2015, so please keep an eye on the News section and contribute to any and all feedback & suggestions. ​
