    N64 Emulator + Online Play

Ever want to play your old N64 games again, and even better play against other people online. Well i'm going to show you how. YOU NEED WINRAR.

First your going to need the emulator which you can get here:
    http://pj64k.emulation64.com/

Your going to click "Project64k 0.13"

Then your going to save it to somewhere your going to remember where its at, I prefer my documents:

Now before you extract it create a file named Project64, place the .rar file in the folder and extract it. You will get something that looks like this:

Ok, once you have all of this you will only use two of the applications.
Project64 is the application you use if you don't want to play online games, Project64k is the application you use if you wan't to play against other people. I will show you both.

But first you will need some emulators or games. I realise this link says N64 Games for PSP but they also work on the PC. They are a good variety of fun games.

Once you find a game you want simply download it. Now create a folder in your documents or whever you want and name it Roms. This is where your going to put all of your games.

Now go back to the Project64 folder and click Project64, something like this will open:

Now to open a rom go to file, open rom, and click the game you wish to play, here is an example:

Then once you click the game you want the screen will change and your rom will start:

Ok now I will show you how to play Online games with friends, family, or complete strangers. You will need to open Project64k:

Now go to file, chose rom directory. A menu will popup, simply navigate your way to your rom folder and click the rom you wish to play online and click ok. It's name will then appear in the box:

Now go to file and click Start NetPlay..

A box like this will pop up:

Type in a username you wish to use, change your Connection type to good or average, I prefer average because it allows a faster FPS (frames per second).

Now if you look on the top you will see waiting games, these are all the people with that particular game waiting to start a game. So if you see someone with Golden Eye and you want to play. Go back to your Project64k, click open rom directory, click Golden Eye, and then click connect. You will connect to their server. It will look like this, then click the game and click join:

This is good for people who want to play against friends or family. I have never played against strangers so I couldn't tell you how well the quality or performance is.

I hope this helped you guys and you have fun, goodluck.

Hmm Can you release a guide on how to get the server materials?

Or a server guide in general?

What do you mean the server materials, like actually starting a server of your own?

I had no idea that you could do this on computer, yet alone play the games online. Thanks for the guide, I'll definitely consider downloading this emulator in the near future.

Yeah I didn't either until recently. It is pretty fun to play those old school games with your friends and family again.
