BLAH. BLAH. I SPELT THE MOVIE WRONG IT'S GRAND TORINO. GET OFF MY BACK. ;)

I don't know where this would go here or in film clips.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has seen the film? I just recently saw the film and was wondering what other people's opinions were on the film.

I think that it's another amazing Clint Eastwood film with an amazing story. I was really surprised by the ending (won't elaborate, don't want to ruin the ending). The movie was well done in the fact that it had it's funny moments, but got very serious at points (if you've seen it you know what I mean). Overall, it is definitely a rated R film, and if you are under 17 you shouldn't go see this with parents (loads of racism\vulgar language\violence).

So, just post what you thought here. Thanks. :)

Edit: I really liked this movie I guess because it made me think about some things, and how it actually relates to people's real life's. (Don't get me wrong, I love James Bond and what not ^_^ ).

It was amazing, it had a very original screenplay, good choice in actors too.

This old man Walt I think is a war vet with a gran torino and a gang member is pressured into trying to steal it. He then finds out about the gang and tries to help them.
There`s more to it like his wife dying and stuff but I would rather not type.

I really was surprised in the ending. As soon as he said his last line I finally knew what was going to happen. I like what he did with the kid also.

Walt owns a Gran Turnio (hence the movie name). A young Asian boy is pressured by his older cousin's gang to steal the car as initiation. Walt is a Korean War Vet who never lets the past go (never forgives himself for killing people). The boy eventually ends up becoming friends with Walt, when the boys cousin shoots up the boy's house. The gang also takes the boy's sister and beats her (rapes too, I think. (he mentions it at the end?)). Basically Walt goes to get vengeance.

That's where I'll end because I don't want to spoil the ending. ;)

    But it's definitely worth seeing.

The words "Do you feel lucky" are just amazing coming from Clint.

Aha. Yeah. Clint Eastwood did an amazing job. I just went to see this to see it, I didn't know anything about it, but my friends said it looked good, and it didn't disappoint. :)

Is that a recent film, or one by Clint Eastwood?

It`s recent, and Clint Eastwood isn`t in it. He really wouldn`t fit in there anyway.

The movie is kind of based on racism and poverty.

Yeah. I don't know though. I think it made the story better, gave you his initial hate of the Asian race due to his past.

I guess it does show his hate after the war.

    You won't be disappointed.

I thought it was really powerful when he put the Medal of Valor on the boy. And what he put in his will. I really like how he warmed up to the good in people.
