Gamer Chat Website?

What do you guys think of the idea of having a web based gamer messenger network? Mainly for contacting people you want to keep separate from a personal messenger (such as msn or aim). You could use this messenger for contacting people for conducting game trades/services, or to IM a person you met rs that shared his web messenger ID with you, or to even start a clan to stay in touch with people you recently had a successful pk trip with. The web based messenger would have most of the standard features that desktop messengers have. So what do you think of the idea? I've had plans to start something like this.

It would be easy, no email confirmination, just make an account, add your friends that also use this web messenger, or find friends to add in a chatroom. Also, if you google "gamer chat", you will find that there is no actual website dedicated to giving gamers a place to chat with other gamers, but obviously there is desktop clients such as Steam, or Xfire that do give the ability to chat with other gamers you find in game, but those are desktop games, and they don't actually offer public chatrooms for gamers to find other gamers in. Still, it would be a web browser based messenger, and would be more convient. Most likely only be used as a meeting place for runescape users though. Well still, what do you think of the idea?
