    Mindset behind Democrats and Liberals?

    Discuss

I don't understand what the democratic party has possibly of any good to offer to the US, or any country in general

    Could you please explain?

I just want reasons as to why people support the Democratic Party

    Not what they are

In my opinion, nothing. Neither do republicans though.

There is only one bad thing about it..

Bad thing: This will go on, and on, and on. I don’t know if that’s necessarily bad for the country, or even the Democratic Party, but it’s really bad for my nerves.

First good thing: Remember how anti-immigrant backlash was going to be a defining factor, both in the Republican Party and in the general election? Neither do I.

Second good thing: Attempts by pundits to make Super Tuesday into a referendum on Bill Clinton failed. People seem to have voted based on what they thought of the candidates.

Third good thing: The politics of celebrity were a bust. Barack Obama did pretty well — not as well as his supporters hoped, but better than you would have expected a couple of weeks ago — but there’s little sign that a passel of Kennedys or robocalls by Scarlett Johanssson had anything to do with it. In particular, California, which was supposed to be so susceptible to the appeal of the cool, went solidly for Hillary; Obama did best in races where glamor was probably not a factor.

    Perhaps

Republicans are more "individualist based" and that is all I need
Their political views just make so much more sense and are so much better

Okay, IDK if I'm just tired or what, but I really can't make heads or tails of what you are trying to say :p

I'll read it again tomorrow lol

Edit: If you could try to rephrase it though that would be greatly appreciated.

Elected officials respond to the views of the affluent more than the poor, so if you like democracy, then there's something to be said about the Democrats. Real wages of working-poor consistently rise faster under the Dems than the Republicans.

Which views? Killing innocent people in Iraq? Endless senseless wars?
The only true Republican is Ron Paul nowadays.

That's the kind of Republican I'm talking about when I say "individualist based..."
