    A Second Opinion

This thread is very serious and I honestly need your guys's help. This is not a joke or for attention, I really need your guys's honest, true, opinions.

I think I have GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder).

GAD is defined as "excessive, exaggerated anxiety and worry about everyday life events. People with symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder tend to always expect disaster and can't stop worrying about health, money, family, work or school. In people with GAD, the worry often is unrealistic or out of proportion for the situation. Daily life becomes a constant state of worry, fear and dread. Eventually, the anxiety so dominates the person's thinking that it interferes with daily functioning, including work, school, social activities and relationships."

Do you ever get nervous when you have to do a presentation in front of your classmates? If you do you understand that nervous fealing and how much it dawns on you. I feal this constantly, I always feal nervous as if something bad will happen, I will do something wrong, or I will get hurt. I feal like I cannot concentrate or think properly. My stomach always has that "butterfly"
fealing. Even when I went on winter vacation I was anxious and stressed about school though I was out of school for the following three weeks.

The Symptoms listed for GAD are:

    Excessive, ongoing worry and tension
    An unrealistic view of problems
Restlessness or a feeling of being "edgy"
    Irritability
    Muscle tension
    Headaches
    Sweating
    Difficulty concentrating
    Nausea
The need to go to the bathroom frequently
    Tiredness
    Trouble falling or staying asleep
    Trembling
    Being easily startled

I can honestly say I fall into about 90% of those categories. The problem is I don't know what to do about it. It says to see a doctor and he might perscribe you medication or refer you to a psycologist. But im not even sure I have it. I want to tell my parents but I don't think they would take me very seriously. Thats why I am asking you guys, do you think I have GAD? Should I or how should I tell my parents.

Thank you for spending your time reading this, and I appreciate any
help or advice you can give me.

Thing is, with all of these so called "disorders," its hard not to be in the categories LOL
I feel like 50%+ of those just from being tired LOL
or maybe all of them if I had heavy sports activities

I know that these symptoms need to be felt on a regular basis, but I think already from the symptoms u got nothing to worry about

Then again, I need to read up on this a little more, but in my opinion I think ull be fine

I`m on the verge of saying that you have, but without knowing to what extent you have the symptoms I can`t be sure.

But that's the thing I don't deal fine, I'm in constant worry and nervousness. For example whenever I walk down the street and a car comes near I feal immediate stress and think I will be shot in a driveby when in reality I have nothing to worry about.

Pisses me off how everyone thinks any little problem is some sort of disorder.

    No.

Headaches is a huge part of GAD, and without that.. it's like trying to shoot someone without a bullet.

I feel most of these on a regular basis, some more than others.. but I never have headaches.

    Seems more like paranoia
Also Daily what if you told a guy with schizophrenia that he didn`t and told him he was just paranoid, and the next day he kills his parents for no apparent reason and is later diagnosed with it?

You are an idiot dude, seriously. Everyone worries but not to the extent that it interferes with your daily life and activities. The OP says that when he was on winter break he couldn't enjoy himself because he was worrying about school. Any normal person would just enjoy break and be glad that school is over for a couple of weeks.

But to the OP, try to overcome this mentally. If you are a strong minded person, this shouldn't be a problem. If that doesn't work, then go see a doctor and he will help you overcome it or prescribe you some meds if it really is that serious. But really try to do this by yourself first, meds should be your LAST option.

It is definetely paranoia or dissociative identity disorder.
I`ve seen this before, but only mild cases.

Just so you know.. people with split personalities don't know they do, and when they are told.. they deny it.
