A Stupid Choice

My high school recently got a new track and 2 turf football/lacrosse fields.

There is a Pepsi HQ in my town. Pepsi offered to pay for the track and fields as long as they could put 1 Pepsi vending machine in each of the schools in our school district.

My school district denied. They said they didn't want the children to drink Pepsi because it's not very healthy.

Little did they know that they could have put an Aquafina machine in each school. Aquafina is a water distributed by Pepsi.

So instead of taking the deal, the school spent over $700,000 on the new fields and track.

What a stupid choice.

Well, soda isn't good for kids anyways. If there could be a law, I'd say we ban soda and products like such all together. They are unhealthy, bad for your teeth, and not even that thirst quenching.

Though your school is stupid for passing up the endorsement, I understand their position.

 

How about we don't enact any more nanny-state laws.

Let people make their own good decisions.

Less government, not more.

Gatorade is good, but so is Pepsi.
But 700.000$ just because your school doesn't want soft drinks...

 

No one does, well, no intelligent person does. But you can't really escape what is already there.

I drink 15 bottles of water a day, and I haven't had a soda in over half a year.
