McAfee/Computer Support.

Well somehow Yesterday August 21, 2008, I Downloaded a Virus, ( Didn't know it was )
And then my computer started going wrong, anyways my mcafee got owned, and my computer, so i cleaned up the hard drive, like made the computer new again like when it was shipped. Payed like $50 =[, but now i know how to do it =]. Anyways when i had the virus that virus gave me lots of times blue screen of death, and i couldn't scan with my mcafee showed an error this happend all yesterday.

Now i cleaned up everything, again i try to to scan with mcafee again shows me an error =[, now i changed my I.P Address, and still does same thing.

(( Also called mcafee today and they were bitching it takes 69.99 for it to fix over phone, and even thought i purchased mcafee they bitching, wtf.. we pay for the security and if something goes wrong with their system we still have to pay them =[
I Also tried re-installing mcafee wont work :'(
Any suggestions =[.

P>S : that hacker was like a professional, he also tried access my computer from another area, didn't allow it...

btw my pc is DELL, Inspiron 4700, 70 GB Hard Drive ( Old PC ( now its faster thought ).

Edit : I Tried adding Avast Free Edition =[ error dunno why.
Also Re-Installing McAfee Again for like the 5th Time, I hope since i changed my IP Adress, maybe it would work.

EDIT:: Can somebody Tell me a good Security Center like Really Good. ( not something cheap )

 

Do you mean a factory reset or you formatted it?

How do you know? And why would a professional hacker want to hack you anyway?

If your antiviruses aren't working, then try the BitDefender online virus scan, or Housecall scan. See if they pick anything up.

Make sure Windows is fully up to date - all the security updates installed etc.

I recommend NOD32 for firewall/antivirus needs, you can get a trial.

 

avg free... download it... scan and walla ...

avg is the best out there....

 

I think this is called a Trojan Dropper?

Just look up "Trojan Dropper" online and it will tell you how to get rid of it.

But, doesn't personal firewall prevent stuff from going in, and not going out?

Also, just find out what it is on some online scanner, then search how to get rid of it, virus protections are only computers you know, sometimes you have got to do it manuel.

Yea, Basicly I Reset the Hard Drive, but anyways i got AVG with License, but
why would he want hack me??
i downloaded the virus, he doesn't know who i am.

I couldn't remove the virus anything i would do it would either show me blue screen of death, or he would just try accest my pc from another location to steal info. ohh well i changed my I.P so it Don't matter now, i just want fix my mcafee because i payed for it

That's the entire point of a firewall. On my Linux setup, practically nothing goes through without me okaying it. It's called security.

Dear God! Don't use McAffee! It's almost as bad as Norton. Get Kaspersky, AVG or Nod32. Best options out there.

 

Thanks Swan i can Tell now, COMODO Is Great, asks me for everything for my Firewall, everything that goes in and out.

 

i use mcafee and something like this happened to me but i was able to get rid of the virus usin mcafee

 

McAfee is Great, but now I'm Starting think they suck.

 

Correction: McAffee does suck. You are only just realising this.

Avast gives the best security suite known to me. Really professional etc.
