    [Guide] Getting stuff to work on Vista

    1. Find your program's .exe file
    2. Right click, select properties
    3. Choose the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the dialog
    4. Check off the checkbox "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
    5. Choose a Windows version; most things work fine on the Windows XP option if they didn't for normal Vista

    6. Click the apply button, then run your program

    Getting Programs to Work on Vista
    Good little thing to know, since a lot of programs aren't Vista compatible. Please note that it doesn't solve all compatibility issues, just makes all programs run.

    very helpful guide. most prgrams are not vista-compatible, as the requirements of the programs are not that high. anyway, i can play some of my classic games like diablo in vista.
