    Sound Issues.

    I bought this laptop about 2 years ago and it was in perfect condition, but now, it has this shitty sound issue, that goes away, and every time I re-start my computer, it comes back. By some odd chance, 1/100000 re-starts, the sound comes back.. Anyone know? The system troubleshoot doesn't do shit.. I did it 5 times in a row, nothing changes. Any Ideas? I am getting a new one in a few months, but I need sound :(. And also, Online movies in Youtube, GoogleVideo, Megavideo, everything, all of them are in SUPER SLO-MO and they are scratchy sounds :S In the troubleshoot, it is this option, I have called Toshiba and bastards say the Warranty's are all 6 months.. >_>

    Hm... try plugging in some speakers and try if it does work that way? if so, your speakers are dead, if not. try re-downloading the sound drivers?

    EDIT: nevermind, they do work, but they're scratchy? maybe some sort of loose cable/speaker broken

    Actually, the Windows Media Player works.. when I put in DVD's I can hear.. it's just "Online" things and also the sound control, it usually made a boop sound when I chose the desired volume, now it's a scratchy sound..

    Start -> Run -> sndvol32

    Under advanced options for microphone switch off microphone boost if it is not already, also try muting the microphone portion by checking its box. See if either of these have any effect on your recent troubles.

    Start -> Run -> dxdiag

    Go to the sound tab and click test direct sound and follow some steps to test your sound device. After that it will either have found or not found problems so post here about what happened and also post what audio device and driver information (these are also found on that screen above the testing part).

    Oddly enough I'm still willing to help you even after you reported me for what was an accident.:(
