help ff being gay

ok well i try to download sumthing, the dl works but i cant check the status of the dl. i go to tools> download and nothing i shown. and i tried uninstalling ff and reinstalling. fuckin gay >.<
plz help, and the only way i can dl a picture is my dragging it on to my desktop ><
