How to gain admin rights to any computer.

I'm sure all of you have had this problem one time or another. Your at a friends house, for example, and you want on the computer but he has a password. This will teach you how to bypass this in a few simple steps.
Step one- Reboot computer and repeatively tap f8 for the boot to safe mode option.
Step Two- Once in safe mode, log on the Admin, you will not have to put in the password.
Step 3- go to Control pannel, then to useraccounts, then create a new account and give it admin rights.
Poof, reboot the computer normally, and you now have full acess.

 

This will only work if the people are too stupid to put a password on the admin account. So remember this wont work on all computers. Speaking of which...

Jdsfighter, you mean if they are stupid enough NOT to put a password.

This is honestly a very old trick, and doesn't work much. This "guide" won't apply to most computers and will not work all the time.

However, I have done this at stores like best buy and changed a few things around

 

you can get into any computer you have to manually switch a jumper on the motherboard though.

I want to know of a mobo jumper that could effect the windows kernel and remove the safe mode admin password, also

extracting the SAM file (linux live disk) and bruteforcing it > safe mode

 

Ophcrack, a boot disk, doesn't even require extracting the sam files. It does everything on it's own, and it's quite fast too (although, not surprisingly, the more complex the password, the longer it will take)

Also, WTP, I'm surprised you would say something like that. There is no way that fiddling with hardware (not counting the keyboard >_______>) can get you past admin.

 

Simple CMD would do. But when admin has disabled command prompt, I wrote a nice little program which automatically creates admin accounts (Windows XP)

 

simple to you but maybe not to others =p Yes CMD would do it, but if you screw up you risk messing up some important stuff. Google it if need be.

 

The program you "wrote" won't work, unless the person running it is an admin which would be useless seeing as you have the admin, unless you can get the admin to run it.

CMD can't do shit if you aren't logged in as admin.

Look, if you could change the admin pass as a guest, no one would even use Windows XP. They wouldn't even sell it if it was that insecure.

Either that video is fake, set up wrong, or just plain doesn't exist.

 

How do you know if it will work or not without looking at the source? I've run the program on restricted accounts at school and was able to create an administrator account on the computer. I was about to modify it so that it can create on the server but, I suspected that it might lead to expulsion.

But, I guess you're right - it won't work on all computers.

 

If you're not a total noob you have a password at the safemode admin...

I don't need the source because no program will work unless you're some uber leet haxor in which case you wouldn't even need the program.

Your school must have crap security if someone like you managed to do something like that. And besides, it's only a local admin account, which is useless.
