Building A Computer - Need Ideas

Okay, well i am curious if all of these components work together. I am pretty sure they do, but could someone be so kind a look over all of these to see if they work together? Also if i should downgrade a little bit and save 50 dollars or upgrade to something else for only 10 bucks ect...

Yes everything should work fine, I am just not sure about the watts... It might be to low, so you must check it out...

Note: I built a computer with asus and just to tell you, their tech support sucks... That is why I sm not purchasing anything from them

Also, my mistake. The processor i am really getting is this:

Instead of building a computer, you could just but a cheap pre made one... there's not much cost difference nowadays.

 

you are terribly, completely wrong.... Building a computer nowadays and buying a pre-built one is much different. I was looking on Bestbuy.com and CircuitCity, and i couldn't find 1 computer that matched this for under 650..... I could make this cost 400 bucks if i wanted to, downgrading two things that wouldn't effect me much... I think i might, too.

But pre-builts ALWAYS cost more because they are built by PEOPLE. and as we know people are greedy...

From personal experience, everything is fine. The only minor annoying would be the fact that your MB is a microATX. Personally, and from experience, and from people who know more than I do about this subject due to their higher level of experience, I would recommend changing your MB to a stand sized ATX. microATX limits your future upgrade options, and I don't recommend overclocking on them either.

 

Alright...that 6150...not good at all.
I suggest an nvidea 7600 GT If your going to run all of the most recent games w/o lag. Best card for your buck.

 

haha... no shit anyone can do that... you just buy a 1tb HD, and 4 x 1024MB RAM...

I would suggest an Intel Core 2 Duo if u could switch some parts around but its up 2 u...

 

Don't get integrated GPU...ever...
You'll never be able to upgrade the GPU and if you want a new graphics card, you'll have to buy a whole new mobo along with that etc.
Also, the geforce 6 series is crazy outdated. Go with the 7 series at least. You can get some decent ones below $100.

The other stuff looks good, but you don't really need that large a HD. What you really want to be putting on your HD are nothing but the programs/games/whatever you run. Anything else such as movies, TV shows, music, you can store and a large ass external and save money.

 

Actually that large of a hard drive can come in handy. Keep in mind that most Vista games take up at least 1GB+ storage, plus saved games, system files, etc...

I'm sure you can google up some better graphics cards...

 

U can buy a 1terabyte hardrive if you need it

 

Get a 5200+
