My dispute for halo2fan

Oh come on staff! Have things really changed that much since I resigned? Do we ban people for any reason now? This is plain stupid.

Halo2fan hasn't asked me to do this. I just don't think he deserves to be banned. Why? Because he did nothing wrong. According to SMR, halo2fan was banned for pretending to be eternalmage in the IRC to cover for him. The problem with that? Nothing. It's not like eternalmage isn't allowed in the IRC. It's not like there's a rule saying you can't do that. It's not like eternalmage didn't want halo2fan using his nick. Who was hurt? No-one.

Also, one of the stickies in the IRC Lounge states that the IRC is NOT the forums and that things that happen on one shouldn't affect the other. How about the mods practice what they preach? Either take down the sticky and ban all people from the IRC who are banned from the forums (and vice-versa) or remove this unfair ban.

I hope you now see some sense.

There was a conversation between PERSON A and Eternal-Mage.. and Halo2fan's name was mentioned. We banned under an assumption, and hoping that more info would come out of this.
