Downgrading my PSP via Pandora's Battery

Alright so ive had my psp for a bit now..

Im still wanting to downgrade it but my version is 3.51

so the only way to do this is with a friend who has custom firmware.

Well were I live there is this 1 kid with it but i dont think he knows how to do it.

So alright I found some services on ebay that do it.

    http://*******.com/39c5y3

You ship them a battery and a card (I would go buy a cheap 128).

    They program it.

You use it and woohoo custom firmware time to pirate iso's

anyways has anyone tried these "services" or do you think they are scams? he has lots of feedback to.

What ever you do don't pay for it!!! You can read a simple guide over at the pspupdates.qj.net forums.

Downgrading is the best thing you could possibly do to your PSP!

By the way, the minimum size a card can be is 256MB.

pfft, PSP is lame without custom fw. ;)
Stuart got me addicted to the DDR homebrew.. :'(

And unless you can find someone that had loads of feedback from others (who you know are likely to not be themselves), then I wouldn't trust anyone's "service" ;)

If your friend has custom firmware just buy another battery and mem stick and make one yourself. That way if you brick your psp you can recover it later on.

oh you mean psp revolution? i downloaded that but it never worked..

Alright. Well I'd say not to waste your money on those lame services because its a 50 - 50 chance that they are legit. And most times by the time they are finished with it , it's already been a month. If you were 3.5 you could've used the lumines exploit...but your 3.51 :\
You could try the datel TOOL battery, but I heard their shipping is retarded...as in it takes forever to finally get it. If you have a close friend with a psp ask them what their firmware is ( hopefully 1.5 or 2.5 or 3.5 )and see if they want to trade. ( thats what I did and now im in iso heaven )
if they don't want to trade than you can use their psp to make a pandora set. There are some programs that can convert a pandora battery back to normal.
    Hope I helped.

PS: If you want some help I can downgrade it for you...I have a pandora set. PM me if your interested.

Works just fine for me. Had to put in GAME150 folder (the stand-alone eboot didn't work for me).
So can you install custom firmware.

    And play iso's :)
Cody, when you get to custom firmware go to 3.52 M33 than to 3.52 M33-4
And then download Applecor, it's the best xmb out there.

there is always a chance of bricking, but once you get into the OEA sections its easier to prevent it.

The PANDORA BATTERY and JIG STICK are both needed to downgrade/unbrick any psp firmware.

You can either make your own, requires a 256mb memory card and a spare battery(you cannot use this as a battery once changed to a pandora).

Or you can buy a battery and jig stick off ebay.

You cannot brick your psp using a jig stick and a pandora battery thats why it is called an unbricker...

    http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/news/pandoras-battery.html

Also why would you upgrade to 3.5x when you can get 3.71 from the link i posted above...

    He probably upgraded on accident?
Anyways, I suggest the datel TOOL battery above all. I just got mine in the mail today. Works perfectly.
