Islam/Arab world.. general discussion

im a 16 year old muslim teen whose lived quite a while in ontario, canada.. and then moved back to his home country of palestine (country that is at war with israel)that currently studies in the american internation school of gaza.

gonna be discussing quite a few things in here...

First, im gonna talk about 9,11... now first of all islam and about 99% of its people DO NOT support the whole idea of suicide bombing specifically on civilian targets.. in the quran it is said, not to even harm trees when at war.. simply fight back who fights u. Now, i kno osama binladin is muslim.. but so little of muslims do support him in the first place, 2nd alotta muslims think that he was a character played with strings by the US government, cause for example, during the cold war.. osama was armed by the usa's government to fight against the USSR in afghanistan.

2nd, How curropt and greedy is the usa's government? i meen common first u take over afghanistan accusing osama being there but u never find him... yet u maintain control of it.. and now ur starting to accuse pakistan of it helping out osama bin laden...U also accused the iraq of have nuclear/mass destruction weps, so u go there find nothing.. now u wana get the iraqis a democratic government? FFS ur hurting them more than helping... i kno saddam is a bad leader, indeed killed thousands... but if saddam was alive sunnies and shiats wouldnt be killing one another by the thousands each day....

3rd, i wana talk about martism/suicide bombings... now i live in gaza, i wana explain why people actually go for suicide bombings.. no its not cause there brainwashed... its just cause if u lived in gaza, i place where its economy has been cut off completly.. where the unemployment rate reached 80% and we completely depend on imports from the israelies, who have illegally occupied our lands 50+ years with there tanks/rockets/jets... i meen common.. the whole country feels like its short on air and freedom... thats why most of these people dont give a sh*t about life or death no more so they simply just go for it... cause the israelies made life so miserable.. i meen for gods sake, they have paralyzed our economy soo bad that we depend on water and electricity sources from the israelies...

4th, how curropt and biased can ur media get!??... ill give u examples... when the israelies entered lebanon.. the news was soo biased tht it made the israelies seem like victims.. when israel has actually been ILLEGALLY occupying parts of southern lebanon with thousands of prisoners takin... and yet the news made it seem like it all started when hezbollah kidnapped 2 soldiers.. yet the whole conflict has been goin on for the last 20years......
another example... fox news: hamas launched rockets at israeli settlement for no reason... i was like WTF!!!!!.. hamas had launched in retaliation cause earlier that day the israeli navy had launched rockets onto a CIVILIAN Beach killing a whole family of 7!!!!!!

5th.. iran.... people so the hell wht if iran has nuclear power... does it seem fair for so many countries to have nuclear power but iran not to?... i meen im personally afraid of americas nuclear power more than irans...

6th i just wana talk about islam and muslims generally speaking.. islam is religeon of peace.. true followers of islam do not support violence.. its just media makes it seem like were all buncha nomads living in tents on the desert who are all a buncha cannabilists just lookin to kill.. were a loving religeon.. i respect all religeons.. dont believe those who say we will kill u if ur not a muslim, they r not muslims.. dont believe those who say ALL muslims r killers or terrorists, cause thats generalization and its unfair. if i wanted to generalize (no offense to christians) but i can just say all white christeans r pro supporters of the KKK or make up somethin like that...which is completely untrue

last but not least... i simply posted this cause i was wondering what people in western socities simply thought about all of this?..
im willing to answer any questions or any1 tht disagrees with me about these ideas and islam generally speaking, thx in advance.. Ahmed

He prolly does think he is a propper follower of islam but does that make him one?...

Lets just say a random guy popps out on the news.. saying hes a TRUE follower of christianity (or any religeon) and then goes kills a few people or blows himself up.. which is completely againest the religeon.. does that meen hes a true believer in jesus or the bible? which insists that wht he did is wrong...

Again i repeat Bin Laden isnt as supported as u think he is.

 

iv yet to understand why this topic being moved here.. its an intelligent topic that is dealing with politics and religion.. which should be in the Something for all section... no1 is gonna post about this topic in this section of the website..

 

I will post because i believe everything you say. Now with the whole fighting between you and Israel. I thought you guys stopped fighting at the Gaza now. Just curious because thats what one of my friends told me from Israel, and another thing is why do they hate Arabs?

 

I'm a 15 year old Lebanese Muslim that lives in Australia and I agree with you more than anything in the world.
I was in Lebanon during the war, and it's horrible. The war was never about Hizb-Allah. I mean killing 2300+ Civilians, injuring a significant number, and destroying thousands of homes is nothing go to do with a small Militia in South Lebanon.
I see the 250 people dying daily in Iraq, and I feel for them, I got a small pain in my heart that never seems to go away. I've been harassed because of my nationality and religion too many times in school and have kept my fist in my pocket and my swear words never outside my mind.
Islam is a religion of peace, and what you see in T.V is nothing related to us Muslims that would never do anything to harm a human being.
What you see in the world, is in the eyes of America and Israel.

I heard that although in the Muslim religion it says, Thou Shall Not Kill, yet you can kill if fighting/protecting your religion, is this true?

 

I do agree that the media makes it seems like the Muslim and Arab religions are revolved around killing. I thought this too, maybe I should take a second look before I judge them.

 

Unfortunately thats not right... not many rockets have been launched recently at the Israeli settlements, and if they are launched, they aren't capable of reaching the Israeli settlements... so for them its no problem and all peace and quite.. on the other hand... dunno if u watch the news... on average 2 people from Gaza die each single and every day on average... From anything between shelling/air strikes or simply quick exhibition of 20 tanks entering a certain city and persecuting a couple of people.

if i understood you correctly.. never kill.. but you could kill in sake of religion?
that depends.... for example the crusades.. they use to kill and fight in the name of religion against Islam.. now thats not my point.. point Islam isn't just a religion, its a way of life, so if you insult a Muslim's religion, then your actually insulting his whole way of living life get me? So, yes it would be allowed to kill if some aggressively insults Islam..

 

I agree with you on everything, true supporters of islam promote peace not violence.

Yes, and of course George Bush is a dumbass and uses the word Crusade every chance he gets in his speeches, and that is a touchy subject for most Muslims.

But what I heard was backed up by proof of 9/11 where Muslims said they were threatened by Christians.

Also, I heard the families of the 19 people who took place in the plane hi-jacking are now being highly respected and paid by the government.
