My first sig and userbar...rate plz

Well This is my first sig ever :/ ive started to get into gfx and i hope to get alot better. I made this for a friend (halo 2 xbox live) so tell me what you think.

Please leave me any suggestions on what you think i could improve or change for future work.

This is also my first userbar that i thought i could throw in

 

Make the render smaller + blend it.
Try not to just use a fractal as your background, start with your render and build around it.
Reduce the size of the border.

I think its good for a first sig but yea make the border smaller and try to blend. But nice job buddy

 

Exactly what I was going to say. Add some border effects to your border, it kinda looks plain.

 

for your first sig, I personally think its great you have used the fractal. This shows alot of potential, try to refine your render by connecting it to your background.

-smudging,
-bluring,
or simply brushing negative space (black airbrushing)

you should try to find a good color for your text,

generally for text it is best to find a base color
then use the refined coloring tool to edit the color to suit the sig

for the overall apearence of the isg you should try to make it maximum 300 x 130

Render,

try to pick a render with some action, and MAKE IT SMALLER, the lower shoulders should be seen.
