Anyone like Heavy Metal?

Noob question i know but i do! If you do too post something ^_^ My fav bands are: Cradle of Filth and Slayer.

 

Same Slayer, one of my bands that has some crazy guitar riffs!

 

is chimaira-power trip considered heavy metal?if so then i guess i like it

 

Lamb of God duno if that is Heavy metal

 

none of the bands mentioned here are Heavy Metal, but they are good

 

Megadeath and slayer ftw

 

The bands mentioned are Death Metal.

BTW I like metal/death metal/hardcore/emocore/metalcore/emo ... so I guess Ilike that.

Slayer = Thrash Metal
Lamb of God = Progressive Metal

 

i like old metal, metalica is my favorite band and i like slayer

Heavy metal is awesome. Iron Maiden and early Metallica have to be my favourites. Old metal like black sabbath, and NWOBHM is best i think. ALso some speed metal is good, you know like DragonForce.

 

heavy metal is too weak for me for the most part, and yes most bands in here said was not heavy metal , and most of them suck, some of my fav heavymetal bands are old metallica , megadeath , some motley crue, and some others , but i listen to shit like cannibal corpse , arch enemy , mushroomhead , etc. so not into hm, much btw just wanted to say , slayer and lamb of god both horrible bands lol

My favorite bands are Behemoth and Cradle of filth. Dragonforce is okay, but I don't like their vocals.

 

I wouldnt say the Lamb Of God is progressive metal..Its more Death.

LOL! It IS Progressive Metal. They're even labeled under it. If you think they are death metal, you have NEVER heard death metal before.

 

Heavy Metal would be defined as old school metal...such as Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Rat, Quiet Riot; basically old 70s-90s bands.

By the way, Lamb of God is thrash metal.

On the topic though, I listen to a lot of the bands listed, along with some grindcore stuff and what have you. I am most interested in speed and thrash metal though, and some death metal.

 

The vocals of DragonForce i think really fit into the style of music. Sweeping and epic, a little high pitched but still awesome. If you want to listen to some more high pitched men sining listen to Coheed and Cambria.
