"pmg Runescape is blocked" - a guide

Okay guys .. I think it's time for us to collectively put to rest of all the different myths about how to connect to Runescape wherever you happen to be blocked, whether it's at school or at work.

I think most of you suffer from one (or more) of a few basic issues if you can't play Runescape at school (or, like me, at work) .. listed under each issue are some ways you can try to get around it:

1. www.runescape.com is blocked
- use www.logmein.com
- use www.remotepc.com
- use www.gotomypc.com


2. ports 43594 and 43595 are closed to incoming and outgoing traffic
- use www.logmein.com
- use www.remotepc.com
- use www.gotomypc.com

3. Java is disabled

In my instance .. I could get on to www.runescape.com, I have Java enabled, BUT ports 43594 and 43595 were closed to incoming and outgoing traffic.

If Runescape is blocked for you at school or at work - please post your situation and everything that you have done to try and remedy it. I will take that information and edit this post with it to put together (FINALLY!) a solid guide for getting on to Runescape when it is blocked.

 

what if logmein is blocked, all proxies are blocked and the run>cmd.exe.ping [www.website.com] is blocked also?

Java is Disabled.
I can get through the RuneScape site with the windows client or by using proxies, I get on the site, forums, highscores etc. but when I try to load the game, it stops loading at the update server bit.
I'm going to try that logmein thingy..


Any advice or help will be greatly appreiated.

If Java is disabled you will not be able to play from that computer - Runescape is a Java-based game.

www.logmein.com may not work because it also is Java-based. Please try it and report back to us?

 

Try any remote access software that doesn't require you to download on your school's end. How about:

www.remotepc.com
www.gotomypc.com

 

i tryed that i dont think it worked

 

if all proxies are bloaked make your own from your pc.

 

Then...your screwed. If thats blocked, (like it is at my school) then there is nothing you can do that i know of.

 

At my school runescape is net porxyed. What do I do? Can I ping it or something? Also My school blocked ctrl+f and left click and cmd prompt so its sort of impossible.

every proxy is blocked, trying to change the language is blocked, putting a different url on it so it will load wont work, pinging the sie and going to the ip doesnt work, and when i do find an unblocked proxy and try it says access denied because its runescape

 

nvm i found that massive list of proxies(5000+) and found some that work.. but after i use them the next day there blocked

 

most of the proxy sites in my school are blocked.

Ok First of

At the beginning of the school year u get an Internet waver form thing

If u Don't follow that and the school catches that u have been using a proxy from ure little Id number account thing U get caught and possibly expelled.

My friend went on And he Had to switch school districts.

U can do it just make sure u don't get caught guys.

 

haha this is awsum.. and to whoever said get adming pass... my admin pass from last year at school was motorcycle rofl.. and everyone knew it but the school never changed it ahha

 

Oh, you guys be careful of using proxies.
Unless you guys know how to take off your temporary files, and delete the proxy they will know! They meaning the district , if your using a school's network. So, before trying proxies get to learning how to do those. I forgot to do that..and now I cannot use the school's internet until after christmas break.
It's just a fair warning you guys.I forgot to do that little precaution and now...bye-bye internet in school -.-
So,remember this in everything you do,do not skip a part that small part might make it or break it.
