How to bot Overnight on a Laptop

Okay so you're here because you want to bot overnight on a laptop without overheating, etc. Well here's what you need:

• A dvd case or two
• A laptop
• A laptop charger
• A fan
• Common sense

Make sure when running rsbot you have 2 windows open in each client, with less cpu and disable canvas ticked :nuts:



Before we get to the practical lets configure the laptop to stay on all night, just follow these steps:





When you're ready to bot put your laptop on a unit ontop of a dvd case like so:



The dvds make the air from the fan go underneath to

Next get a fan and point it at the laptop (and turn it on :laugh: )



all of the previous stops your laptop from catching fire

even though botting is better on a desktop computer , for those just with a laptop this guide is for you :idea:

Or do what I did and buy a cooling pad for each of your laptops >.>

 

okay you can also spend even more money but i'm going to avoid that by following this guide

Can be done, but laptops are fast death computers, better off buying a desktop and doing it, will save you in the long run

Are cooling pads really worth the cash? I just leave the lid open, gonna change my CPU settings, as I use neXus client, and I can run 4 bots overnight on a i5 core with 4gb ram

How much is a good cooling pad snow?

Good guide but you can just buy a cooling pad for cheap from like eBay.

The laptop I bot on is fine on the floor... no cooling pads/fans needed. And it's over 5 years old.

 

plastic bottlecaps on either corner work well
