Great news for World of Warcraft players who own an iPhone today. Blizzard has just rolled out their first WoW iPhone app, and the best part is it’s free!



There have been a number of third party, shoehorned WoW iPhone apps released on the app store already, but this one looks like it’s going to blow all of the others clear out of the water. The World of Warcraft Mobile Armory boasts a number if features including the ability to view your character’s profile, search for and view any character, item, guild, or Arena team in World of Warcraft, access your in-game calendar of events, view achievement-point leaderboards, plan out talent specs using the fully functional talent calculator, and more. Also, this app requires you to log in to your account unlike all of the third party apps we’ve seen.

This looks to be a pretty slick app, and would have been super useful back in my WoW-infused days. But I can’t let myself fall back into that trap! Or can I…?

 

Any idea if it is accessible without internet?
I know that sounds stupid but is there a way to view an non-updated version without internet? and then viewing the updated version with internet?

Nice, but seriously who needs to view the armory when you're like at a family party? Can't you have a life for at least a few hours then go back to world of warcraft?

 

I don't think i would trust this... I don't have an Iphone or Ipod touch so i don't know much about apps. However, this guy has one post which is advertising an app and he states that you need to login in with your WoW info.. I dunno but it sounds like bad news to me.

 

I dunno. I did have one on my itouch that was pretty nice. Whenever I would be out, I would run into friends who wanted to show me their armory =\

 

Yeah, this has been out for a while, I've had it for a few months. Very convenient though.

 

Blizzard made it why not trust it?

 

Some addicts will buy an Iphone - Ipod touch just for this feature

if i could check my runescape hiscores on the iphone i would buy one just for that no lie

 

lol, they already had armoury app's for the iphone and touch, I have an app called "armoury spy" it is exactly like it, except you can look up items to, there cost, drop rate, etc.

 

hahah thats cool but pretty sad i guess.
