How to make your own Pokemon game

Here you will learn how to make your very own Pokémon Game,
the tutorials will be very in-depth and with pictures for ease, if you download anything
or use these tutorials please leave a post and a thank you!.
Right then lets start, first you will need a game/rom to edit download one below:

    Sapphire Version:

    Ruby Version:

Next you will need to download a emulator:

You have now got everything needed to make your
own Pokemon game! Apart from the programs which
are included with the tutorials below here

    Advance map
This program edits map data, this means you can make
your own Pokemon towns and routes & very easily.
    Advance map:

    PICTURE
    Open Advance Map

    PICTURE
Press "CTRL & O" and locate your game/rom you want to edit and open it

    PICTURE
We will be editing "LITTLEROOT TOWN" as an example, to find this town follow 1, 2 & 3 above as shown in the image (Make sure you are on tab Map)

    PICTURE
I will now tell you the basic functions of the program:
1, Where to chose which objects you want on your town (Map tab)
2, Edit how the town/route looks like
3, Where your character & sprites is allowed to move etc
4, Edit events in the game e.g. When you hop out the van your mum will automatically come to you to tell you to come inside etc
5, Change the town/route name, music, weather and other options

    PICTURE
    Follow below:
1, Click on a block with which you want to replace with a other on your town

    PICTURE
Once you have chose a block and found the one you want to replace it with, just click on the map where you want to replace the block

    PICTURE
For example I have replaced the flowers and dirt under the doors with the grass block

    PICTURE
Now lets change the style of the houses, you chose your own style and use your imagination as this is just a boring example of what you can do

    PICTURE
If you have moved signs and houses and/or changed the town at all than you will have to relocate the data, to do this go on the "Movement permissions" tab, it should like the image above

    PICTURE
1, This is like before the blocks works in exactly the same way to the "Map" tab.
The only blocks you will probably need will be 1, C & D these do the following:
    1: Can not walk through/on
    C: Can walk through/on
    D: Sign Posts

    PICTURE
Using the "1", "D" & "C" blocks edit where needed on the map, once finished it should vagally resemable above
(You may need to move your 3C block, if so it is located at the bottom of the block editer. The 3C block is where the the van pulls up at the start of the game)

    PICTURE
Now go on the "Events" tab, click the pokemon character above as shown. This shows the sprites (people) in the editing area

    PICTURE
To do the following be on "Person event":
1, Click on the sprite and drag to your desired location on the map do this for all sprites if needed
2, On "Picture no" chose the type of character you want. You can turn your mum into a type of pokemon!

    PICTURE
1, Chose a sprite to edit and change there movement type
repeat for each one if wanted/needed

    PICTURE
    1, Change to "Signpost"
2, Find the signpost what needs editing/moving here
3, I am on signpost 1 and as you can see it is not on top of it to move it type in the pos needed witch is located below the "Delete event" box.
If required do this for all signposts

    PICTURE
Here is example of what you should of done for the previous part above, as you can see the highlighted box is around the signpost

    PICTURE
Warp is a when you exit a town/route or enter a building, in this case we are warping the player in the houses:
    1, Change to "Warp"
    2, Move warps using X & Y
3, If the warp is not on door than move it on to the right one. Using the pos which is pointed at with arrow.
Do for all warp points if required

    PICTURE

Here is example of what you should of done for the previous part above, as you can see the highlighted box is around the door now

    PICTURE
Click on the "Header" tab, follow bellow:
1, Change the name of the town here. Then click "Change Name" to save the name

    PICTURE
To change the music, follow below:
1, Open the fold down menu and select a tune of your choice

    PICTURE
Now save your game/rom and test it for any errors using the provided emulator.

Tyvm Mike, If you have any Questions then feel free to post
