2013 - 2 new runescape skills

nope just read it on the main page, then i clicked the video and 21:40 was a top comment otherwise i hadn't informed you with that^^

 

Runescape will probably be dead by then

That video is so old. I knew about the 2 new skills over 10 days ago.

Anyway, one is a gathering skill and the other is a production skill. Apparently the skills are not immediately directly related like mining is to smithing, however they each are supposedly somewhat useful with each other. They are also supposed to have an openness that will allow for them to add shit to that is directly related to Runescape 3. Nonetheless, I'm excited. I do hope however that it is a relatively easy skill to bot, so I can boost my total level and not worry about having < 30-40 in the skills with it tanking my total level.


EDIT: oh, and no, it is NOT sailing. Player Owned Ports will be available sometime next year (supposedly), but they will not be related to their own skill.

I hate new skills, I'm too lazy, let's hope they're not like dungeoneering...

 

Would be nice to be the first to max it out, but that's no longer possible these days with the crazies who are on 24/7. :x

And I agree with above, RuneScape will die when EoC comes out, Jagex think updates will improve the game, in some eyes it will but to the rest it kills the game and Jagex don't know or don't care. Its probably all for money and to get more members.

 

It should be interesting nonetheless, and if EoC is as dreadful as everyone's making it out to be I'm sure they'll make the necessary adjustments just as they have in the past with removing the trade limit.

 

Should be interesting to see. Hopefully they will compliment Eoc nicely and really make Rs3 feel different from Rs2. I have trouble imagining what they possibly could be though.

 

A new gathering skill...sounds prime for botting.

If the two new skills are closely related and one is a gathering skill there will be a lot of money to he made , Given that the game's not dead by then.

 

Would be nice to see. Best hurry up and get 80+ all before they come out!

 

Wonder if they'll ever release a new combat stat, not necessarily a new form of attack, e.g. Range, Melee, Magic, but perhaps something that would be used aside them, such as Illusion so combat can be a bit more strategic instead of whack, your turn, my turn, whack...

 

They might be involve a skill to stable the economy and get rid off rwt. Perhaps they're implanting another currency like karma to buy stuff what can't be bought with gold with the gathering skill.

The other skill might be linked to the new cb beta which arrives also somewhere on the end of the year. Not sure how they'll do this.

So after reading all the posts, the ideas floating around are the skills are directly related & people think it will be a gathering skill and sailing.

From what i can tell, If you have a sailing skill with player owned ports, i'm assuming another water related skill.

Or maybe sailing and fishing go together, while gathering and hunter go hand and hand. Both are related somewhat.
